Since founding D.G.Edworthy Associates in 1994, Doug has successfully helped large and small organisations in a wide variety of service and manufacturing business sectors achieve certification and improvement of their management systems through his unique business consultancy services.

His abilities and integrity as a consultant have been recognised through his Chartered Quality Professional status [CQP] and listing as a Registered Consultant on the Chartered Quality Institute's Management Consultants Register [MCQI RC]. In addition, he has been assessed and is listed on Business Link Consultants registers, permitting him to work with clients on Business Link aided projects.

Doug Edworthy has been trained and his competence attested as an auditor of ISO 9001 quality management, ISO 9000-3 (Tick IT) software quality management, ISO 14001 environmental management systems, and Financial Services Skills Council accreditation schemes. His auditing principles are not just "did they do it right" but also "what could be done better" - his audits add value to a organisation.

In addition, Doug holds a Post-Graduate Diploma in Computing for Commerce and Industry [PGD CCI(Open)], and the BCS/ISEB Certificates in Information Security Management Principles and in Information Security Risk Management.

He is a member of the Chartered Quality Institute [MCQI], the British Computer Society [MBCS] and the Audio Engineering Society [MAES], and is an Honorary Fellow of the Institute of Sound and Communications Engineers [Hon.FInstSCE]. He is a Past President of the Council of the ISCE having held the positions of Chair of the Steering Committee 1990-1996 and President 1996-2000.
